Farm animals aren’t just adorable— they often have jobs to do! Dairy cows provide us with their delicious milk and chickens provide us with eggs. Sheep provide the wool that keeps us warm all winter. Horses help till the soil or transport wagons. Pigs and cattle provide us with meat. Petting farms invite you to visit the animals on the farm and learn about what they do. Some farms let you feed the animals, and many let you pet them. In the spring, it’s especially fun to see the newborn animals and many farms offer special events to see the babies.
