Members of the Michigan Agri-Tourism Association industry face many unique challenges; by working together many of these challenges can be overcome! The Michigan Agri-Tourism Association’s mission is to help industry members solve problems and create opportunities such as:

• Advancing Michigan agriculture by promoting the interests of owners and operators of Michigan farm markets and agri-tourism endeavors.
• Encouraging a profitable and sustainable farm marketing and agri-tourism industry in Michigan.
• Representing the interests of Michigan farm markets and Michigan agri-tourism businesses in matters of state or national concern.
• Cooperating and coordinating efforts with other organizations in achieving these purposes.

Issues of interest by current members include:

• Working on regulatory issues such as zoning and inspections.
• Creating promotional programs to encourage consumers to visit Michigan Agri-Tourism Association destinations.
• Offering membership benefits.
• Developing and encouraging educational programs.

Members are listed in the statewide printed directory, and on our website with a link to their own websites. Members also receive our association newsletters, a Membership Certificate to display at their place of business, a complimentary box of directories and voting privileges. A significant benefit to members is representation in the Michigan Legislature on issues, advocacy and policy discussions.
