Fall in love with a new wine!
This spring, Cellar 1914’s Dry 2023 LaCrescent won the Best of the Best Dry White wine award in the Petoskey Wine Region Competition. Our 2020 Semi-Dry LaCrescent has also held an award of its own in the MI Wine Competition. That is saying a lot, as LaCrescent is a popular grape to grow in our region. So, we’ve decided it’s time to showcase it with a fall food-themed pairing. Take a color tour into the country and stop by for lunch and a glass of excellent wine!

What is LaCrescent? It’s a light-skinned hybrid grape developed by the University of Minnesota and released in 2002. La Crescent is ideal for producing off-dry and semi-sweet wines and is apt to retain some acidity, which balances this style. It is a relatively aromatic variety and exhibits flavors of stone fruits, such as peach, citrus, or even tropical flavors of pineapple.
